Originally from Michigan (go Blue!), Stephanie’s love for literature led her to a career in the book publishing industry before she fulfilled her dream of becoming a children’s librarian by earning her MLS from UNC’s School of Information and Library Services.

Having lived in Durham for 15 years, Stephanie has served as a librarian with Durham County Libraries, the Art Institute of Raleigh-Durham, and Durham Public Schools. She has volunteered with a whole bunch of local organizations, including Girls on the Run of the Triangle, YMCA soccer, and the Lyons Farmers School Garden.

When she’s not reading or hanging out with the Student Leaders of Durham Book Club, you’ll find Stephanie baking in the kitchen or playing outside, whether it’s on the soccer field, in her garden, or with her husband and three children. She is beyond thrilled to be a part of the StrongHER TogetHER community!
