Muskaan Iyer
Muskaan Iyer is a sophomore at Duke University, majoring in Chemistry with a concentration in Biochemistry and minoring in Computational Biology and Spanish.
She conducts biomedical engineering research in the Chilkoti Lab, where she focuses on modifying polypeptides for localized drug delivery. Outside the lab, Muskaan works with Duke Hospice and Croasdaile Village, experiences that have strengthened her commitment to improving care and quality of life for older adults.
She also serves as a Resident Assistant and Math Teaching Assistant, supporting her peers both academically and personally. As a Duke Presidential Ambassador, she enjoys connecting with alumni and sharing the student experience. Muskaan hopes to pursue a career that bridges biomedical research, public health, and compassionate care.
Passionate about women’s health, Muskaan leads menstrual equity initiatives with Progress Period and loves working with StrongHER TogetHER. She first joined the organisation in January of 2025, and has fallen in love with the opportunities, people, and the community.
In her spare time, she loves to do yoga, meditate, and journal. She cannot wait to meet more of the StrongHER TogetHER girls and do some fun activities together!
