Carolyn was born in Charleston, SC but grew up outside Detroit, MI. She graduated from Clemson University with a bachelor’s degree in Environmental and Natural Resources. Currently, she is an Environmental Scientist at Wildlands Engineering, Inc in Raleigh. Wildlands is an environmental engineering firm focused on stream and wetland restoration.

When Carolyn is not looking at salamanders, she is spending time with her friends and two cats! Fun fact: one of her cats is cross-eyed!
